Despite the manufacturers having very few halo cars to show, most companies did bring their flagships. The DC auto show provides a great experience to get up close and personal with the newest models without a sales person trying to pressure you into buying. Although it’s not quite the same showing you would see in Detroit, there were a few models that haven’t hit the streets yet such as the new Mercedes AMG GT, S class coupe, Ford Shelby 350, and Camaro z28. Being a car lover in a car show, I am surprised to say that my personal favorite wasn’t a car at all, in fact it’s more of a bus. The GM Futureliner is an enormous futuristic styled vehicle built in the 40’s. only 3 fully restored vehicles remain today.
