After skipping a year in DC in an attempt to migrate North, The DC Bike show is back.  In what’s potentially this show’s last year in DC, the 2017 show has been the best one yet.  Check out some of the awesome one off manufacturer builds. and concepts!

First off the PFM favorite is the BMW r Nine T.  This retro styled Cafe racer has the soul of an old school BMW racer, but has all of the modern technology and amenities you’d want in a motorcycle.  The engine makes about 120hp, plenty to get you down the road in the blink of an eye, although, you won’t be running down any ‘Busa’s.  BMW also brought a totally custom gold styled Nine T for display.

Next up, an up close look at the Can Am Spyder F3 Turbo concept.  This trike ‘s turbo’d intercooled 3 cyl rotax motor puts out 150 horsepower and 137 ft lbs of torque.  The 3 wheeled concept also features sticky racing slicks  all around, Akrapovic exhaust, and aggressive aerodynamic styling.  Don’t expect to ever see one of these on a race track near you.  this one was created for promotional purposes.

One of the biggest treats to see is the Roland Sands Custom Yamaha VMax.  This bike has been re styled from top to bottom by RSD and is nearly unrecognizable from it’s original form.

For exotics the new Ducati 1299 Superleggera produces 219hp with the stock exhaust, and up to 230hp with upgraded pipes.  It’s the most powerful production twin ever made.  The Superleggera weighs just 344 lbs dry.  The price tag will set you back about $86,000.00
